Working with Activations (Edge)

Activate is currently available for Early Access. Please contact your Hevo account executive or the Support team to enable it for your team. Alternatively, request for early access to try out one or more such features.

An Activation connects a dataset to a Target object and defines how and when the dataset’s records are sent to the business application.

Before creating an Activation, you must have a Source, a dataset, and a Target. When you create the Activation, you select the dataset and the Target object, configure how records are synchronized, map dataset columns to Target fields, and define the sync schedule. Read Core Concepts to understand each setting of an Activation and how it fits into the flow of your data.

After you create an Activation, you can change its name. The dataset, Target, Target object, field mappings, sync behavior, and schedule cannot be changed.

To send different data, modify the dataset used by the Activation. To use a different dataset, Target, or Target object, or to change any sync setting, you must create a new Activation.

Note: Changes to a dataset affect all Activations that use it.

Read Familiarizing with the Activations UI to understand how to view and manage your Activations. For the steps to create an Activation, read Creating an Activation.
