Connecting Looker to Hevo
Starting Release 2.20, the Hevo Managed BigQuery Destination is available only to users who have existing Pipelines with it. If you need to reauthorize or change the Google account in your existing Pipeline, you must contact Hevo Support.
Refer to this section to connect Looker to your managed BigQuery data warehouse.
Prerequisites

An active Looker account.

Looker connection settings downloaded from Hevo.
Steps

In your Looker account, navigate to Admin section, and scroll down to Database in the left navigation pane.

Click Connections, and then, New Connection.

In the New Connection page, specify the following mandatory settings:

Name: A name for your database.

Dialect: Select Google BigQuery Standard SQL (Recommended) or Google BigQuery Legacy SQL.

Project Name: The Project ID mentioned in the connection settings downloaded from Hevo.

Dataset: The Dataset ID mentioned in the connection settings downloaded from Hevo.

Use OAuth: Deselect this check box.

Service Account Email: The service account ID mentioned in the connection settings downloaded from Hevo. For example, testserviceaccounteditor@testproject-286015.iam.gserviceaccount.com

Service Account JSON/P12 File: Upload the JSON file with the connection credentials, downloaded from Hevo.

Password: Leave this field empty.

Temp Dataset: The Temporary Dataset ID mentioned in the connection settings downloaded from Hevo.

Max Billing Gigabytes: Use the default value.

Max Connections: Use the default value.

Connection Pool Timeout: Use the default value.

SQL Runner Precache: If you don’t want SQL runner to preload information in your tables, you can deselect this option.

Database Time Zone: The Dataset Timezone from the connection settings provided by Hevo.

Click Update Connection to connect Looker to the managed BigQuery data warehouse. The connection details are displayed. Click Test These Settings to test the connection.
