Bookkeeping

An Activation reads data from your Activate Warehouse as per the configured SQL query and loads it to the objects in your Target CRM application.

When the SQL query is run, Activate records a snapshot of the results before synchronizing them to the Target object. It compares the data of each subsequent Activation run to this snapshot to identify the changes. This helps to reduce the synchronization time. Activate uses the hevo schema (or dataset) to record the snapshot and the identified changes.

This process of comparing and writing to the schema is Bookkeeping. The hevo schema is also referred to as the bookkeeping schema.

Any user who needs to create, modify, or run Activations must be assigned permissions on the hevo schema.
